It was worth its 4 stars. Excellent breakfast, location a short walk from the beach. The owner was lovely. We liked the amenities, such as flat-screen television, a seating area and ironing facilities.

This hotel is a welcome base for a weekend in Whitby. Really loved almost everything, including location and amenities, they were ideal. The host upon arrival was friendly. Staff were helpful, setting is in 5 minutes' walk to downtown.
